VX Technologies Inc. is at the forefront of the 3D digital imaging market. A privately held company, VX Technologies designs, manufactures and markets 3D optical imaging systems that offer precision accuracy at a fraction of the price of laser systems.
Founded in 1989 as VX Optronics Corp., the company's initial focus was range-finding technology and its application. In keeping with its origins, the company's name stems from an aviation term - 'Velocity on the X-axis', or horizontal velocity - used by bush pilots for determining the distance (and by extension, the required velocity) available for take off.
Fourteen years and four US patents later, VX Technologies has evolved into one of the technological leaders in the 3D optical imaging market.
