The innovative, modular design of New Flyer’s Invero facilitated the configuration of a sophisticated vehicle that satisfied both the functional and branding requirements of transit agencies developing high-profile transportation systems called Bus Rapid Transit (BRT). Bill Stanton led the product development program for Invero, while serving as Senior Industrial Designer at New Flyer, filing 6 patents and establishing new thresholds of value in a stagnant market.

This product and business proposal secured contracts from 3 major North American transit authorities and established an early and continuing dominance of the emerging BRT market. Bill Stanton filed 6 patents related to this project and established new thresholds of value in a stagnant market.
