AN INTERACTIVE SYSTEM
DESIGNED TO MOVE
The MÖVE is an all-in-one interactive system that transforms any space into an immersive environment. Deployable in under five minutes, it combines laser projection, motion detection, LED lighting, and immersive sound within a compact, mobile base. With its projector, camera, and integrated audio system, users can physically interact with the content. Connected to educational or recreational programs, the MÖVE promotes active engagement for young people, wherever they are.
Critical
Component Maintenance
From our earliest discussions with the client, easy assembly emerged as a critical need—for both the end user and the production line. Ideation led to modular concepts, enabling quick disassembly without specialized tools. Prototypes were tested to validate component accessibility, including the legs, pneumatic mast, and head unit. These choices were later integrated into the final design, optimizing maintenance and reducing downtime.
Structural Rigidity
and User Safety
From the product definition stage, structural strength was identified as essential to support the combined weight of the head and mast. Reinforced structural concepts were developed to ensure proper load distribution across anchor points. In parallel, safety features were integrated to prevent pinch hazards, and simulation studies confirmed the product could not tip over in use. These validations ensured dynamic stability, delivering a safe and reliable experience.
Mobility
and Ergonomics
Early in concept development, users expressed the need for simple, intuitive transport. Inspired by everyday objects, the team explored several options, integrating wheels and ergonomic handles. Prototypes validated stability, maneuverability, and compatibility with small vehicles. The process stood out for its collaborative approach: the client had direct access to concept boards and could provide feedback in real time. This “ego-free design” mindset fostered rapid, transparent iterations, leading to a practical, stable, and safe solution.
Thermal
Management
Thermal management quickly emerged as a critical challenge due to the high density of electronics and the powerful light source. The team tested various ventilation and baffle configurations to channel hot air. Measurements taken with thermocouples helped validate deflector placement and optimize vent positioning. The final design treated heat as a core design element, integrating airflow paths, dedicated spacing, and targeted ventilation.
Automatic Connection
Between Base and Head
The challenge was to design a product delivered in separate parts, simple to assemble by the user; mechanically and electrically. Assembly had to be fast, intuitive, and safe, with no risk of errors that could compromise safety or confidence in product strength. Prototypes were used to optimize tolerances and connection forces. Calibrated springs and sliding guides were integrated to ensure smooth, automatic assembly. Validated through testing, this system was incorporated into the final version, providing a safe and reassuring user experience.
