a piece of MASTER CHIEF equipment FOR GAMERS
AMD 6900XT HALO SPECIAL EDITION
AN ICONIC COLLABORATION,
20 YEARS IN THE MAKING
To celebrate two decades of Halo, AMD and 343 Industries joined forces for a high-profile Keynote event—and brought in Advanta to bring their vision to life. The mission: to design a limited-edition Radeon RX 6900XTX that looked like it came straight from Master Chief’s armory. This wasn’t just a GPU skin—it was a narrative tribute to one of gaming’s most legendary franchises, told through form, materials, and detail.
ARMOR-INSPIRED
DESIGN
Drawing from exclusive artworks and reference materials of the Master Chief’s Gen 3 Mjolnir armor, Advanta crafted a design deeply rooted in the Halo universe, long before the game’s release. Every surface, edge, and cut line was conceived as an integral part of the Spartan’s tactical gear. From the angular side plates to the weathered textures, the 6900XTX reference model no longer looked like a simple graphics card, but rather a militarized technological artifact. Some even joked, "It’s the Master Chief himself."
THE POWER
OF CORTANA
The signature feature lies on the backplate: a backlit LED Cortana AI logo, inspired by the neural interface on the back of Chief’s helmet. For the Advanta team, this symbol carried as much emotional and narrative weight as the Spartan’s gold visor—and it deserved to shine just as brightly. The inverted glow not only adds symbolic depth, but elevates the design into a true collector’s piece for Halo fans and hardware enthusiasts alike.
A GLOBAL RECEPTION
FIT FOR A HERO
The launch created shockwaves. Fans flooded social media with excitement, and Lisa Su herself (CEO of AMD) was reportedly receiving direct messages from industry leaders—not just to praise the work, but to ask where they could get one. This limited-edition RX 6900XTX quickly became more than just a collector’s item: it proved that design, storytelling, and engineering excellence can come together to create something truly unforgettable.
HIGH-SPEED EXECUTION,
NO ROOM FOR ERROR
With only a few weeks left before the global Keynote, time was a critical factor. The Advanta team worked in complete confidentiality with AMD, 343i, and the manufacturing partners, rapidly iterating with agility while integrating last-minute feedback. Thanks to a clear vision and a seamless process, the project moved from initial sketches to production-ready models at record speed—without ever compromising quality or betraying the Halo legacy. (Our two Sébastiens were key players in this success.)
