THOMAS BRILLANT PELLETIER

JR. INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER

AT ADVANTA SINCE 2024

Thomas considers himself a professional tinkerer and a specialized generalist. His great curiosity has led him to explore a multitude of fields throughout his life, each time acquiring a wide range of diverse skills. His contagious enthusiasm and resolutely practical approach make him a valuable ally for prototyping and supporting the design team.

With a background in microbiology, he developed the expertise to formulate hypotheses and test them rigorously. Then, a long stint in the world of customer service, distribution, and brand management allowed him to gain valuable experience in understanding customer needs and forging strong business relationships. His understanding of product commercialization has sharpened.

Thomas has always shown a great interest in objects. He dismantles and (sometimes) reassembles everything that falls into his hands. Nurtured by the gentle voice of Jean-Luc Brassard on the show "How It's Made," he has sharpened his appetite for understanding the manufacturing secrets behind every product.

Feeling the call for something more concrete, he returned to university to earn his degree in product design, distinguishing himself with the highest academic average in his cohort.

"FAIL OFTEN, FAIL FAST."

What makes Thomas's heart beat is prototyping. The art of testing an idea using materials and processes creatively. Always in search of innovative solutions, he excels at obtaining the maximum answers with minimal investment. For Thomas, one challenge follows another, and that's just perfect.
