WILLIAM
PLANTE ALLEN
TECHNICIEN EN GÉNIE MÉCANIQUE
William began his mechanical engineering career after completing his studies at CÉGEP de Lévis-Lauzon in 2003. He quickly developed a passion for design while working in a contemporary furniture manufacturing company, where he discovered his love for creating beautiful things. This experience provided him with a solid foundation in design, which he has continued to build upon throughout his career.
Over the years, William has broadened his skillset and developed new passions, particularly for plastic injection part design and parametric modeling. This approach has allowed him to create innovative products, with a constant focus on optimizing efficiency and quality. William is an enthusiastic advocate of advanced design tools and continually deepens his knowledge in modeling to push the boundaries of design.
His professional journey has led him to work across various sectors, from engineering services to manufacturing companies. These diverse experiences have enabled him to acquire a wide-ranging expertise in product development and production. Despite this diversity, William has always maintained a strong interest in industrial design, which remains a central element of his professional activities.
His extensive experience in product development is reflected in his design philosophy. For William, a product must be above all reliable and easy to assemble. His motto is unequivocal:
"If it's not reliable, it’s useless!"
This demonstrates how much he prioritizes the quality and durability of his creations, ensuring that each design meets the needs of its users.
William is also passionate about parametric modeling, which he considers an essential part of his design success:
"Parametrics is the shit!"
This enthusiasm for parametric modeling reflects his innovative approach and his ability to turn technical constraints into creative opportunities, making each project unique and tailored to meet the most demanding expectations.
